U.S. HISTORY - From 1492 to 2008 == This Advanced Elementary U.S. History Program is designed for Montessori students of the 9-12 age level, specifically for grades 5-8. It consists of Picture Cards 5.5"x5x5" fully colored to match on a vinyl time line which can be purchased separately (See: T-101-USA). The picture cards take the student from the European landing in the New World to the Obama Presidency of 2008. Printed Story Cards to read and match to the pictures and spiral-bound control booklets are also included. Students may be asked to work on a few cards at a time, for example a set of four stories and four pictures. Each time they can copy the story text and draw the pictures on the light box. Each set of four pictures and matching stories can be made into a short history booklet to be read and studied in preparation for a fun question/answer oral exchange of knowledge with the teacher.
